What You Should Know About: Making Rewards Meaningful


Anyone can give a reward for outstanding performance, but if you really want to have an impact on the engagement of your employees, partners, sales reps or customers, you have to do more than just hand over the goods.

First off, the award itself has to have meaning to the recipient. But beyond that, it's all about surrounding the award with meaning, whether that means an event celebrating the achievement or an in-person "thanks for being outstanding!" from someone in a leadership position, and applause from peers.
